Russian Translations

From time to time in my writing life I have translated Russian poetry, notably Pushkin and Akhmatova. It's like serving in the workshop of a great master. It's also a bit like an act of love. Recently Pushkin translations: 'Onegin' (Francis Boutle, 2010) , and forthcoming 'Ruslan and Ludmila' (Simon & Schuster, Feb 2019). The Folio Society (2016) produced an elegant collection of my Akhmatova, Selected Poems. Also in Everyman.
